The conference was held October 27-29 at the Franciscan Renewal Center in Scottsdale, Arizona. Mesa West Rotarians in attendance for all or a portion of the conference were Bob Zarling, Donna and Bryan Goetzenberger, and Pollyanne and Allan Cady. Overall, the attendance count numbered just over one hundred which was a record for this event. submitted by Allan CadyHighlights of the conference included a number of very strong projects presented; education on Global Grants from Valerie Pereira, our visiting Rotary Grants Officer; and commitments of a great deal of club and district money and TRF matches toward the funding of Global Grants. The total of pledges and matching funds was $352,475.
Next year the conference will be held in Acapulco, Mexico, October 26-28.
