President Kayla Mudge opened the meeting, Dave Dacus led the Pledge of Allegiance and gave a thought-of-the-day. Today’s raffle was won by Tara Dacus. She did not draw the Ace of Clubs, so the large pot carries over.

Rotary Fellowships are international, self‑directed groups of Rotarians, Rotaractors, and friends of Rotary who come together around shared hobbies, professions, or recreational interests. Unlike Rotary Action Groups—which focus on technical expertise for service projects—Fellowships are primarily about building friendships, exploring common passions, and creating global connections through fun and fellowship. They range from cycling, photography, and wine appreciation to more specialized interests like genealogy, scuba diving, or even magicians.
Each Fellowship operates independently but is officially recognized by Rotary International. They organize events, trips, online communities, and meetups that bring members together across borders. Many Fellowships also support service in their own way—such as the Cycling Fellowship’s annual “Ride to End Polio”—but their core purpose is to strengthen bonds among members and make Rotary even more enjoyable.
For Rotarians who haven’t encountered them before, Fellowships can feel like discovering a whole new dimension of Rotary. They offer a chance to connect with people around the world who share your interests, deepen your Rotary friendships, and add a layer of fun and personal enrichment to your Rotary experience. Joining is optional, open to anyone, and often leads to some of the most memorable Rotary moments.
Thank you for supporting The Rotary Foundation this past year!
The need for the Foundation's programs never stops, and the need for your support and participation continues as well. The Foundation will keep changing lives long into the future.
Let's be proud of our accomplishments during this amazing year!
As Rotarians, we are regularly exposed to opportunities to support various causes with our time, talent and treasure. Sometimes it is hard to sift through all the information and decide where we are going to use our available financial resources.
It would be wonderful if every Mesa West Rotarian would make the following BIG FOUR their Rotary charities of choice and support every one of them every year, we could make a bigger difference than we are making today.
