Chuck Flint announced that the Rotarian of the Month for August was Erica Williams.
Today’s speakers were Cmdr. Cindy Ewer and Sgt. Louie G from Mesa Police Department who told the club about the Police Unity Tour 2026. This event took place on May 10-12, 2026, and was a 250-mile bike ride from Norfolk, VA to Washington, DC.
Nine officers rode to honor Officer Gabriel Facio, who lost his life while on duty in June 2025. They first refurbished a trailer that was used to pack up and transport their bikes across the country to Virginia. At the end of the ride there was a Candlelight vigil.
